GOD’s Vows - Wedding vows III

GOD’s Vows.

My children, I knew you before you were formed. I loved you even when you were a thought in my mind, when I hadn’t yet created you. I have watched you grow, big and strong. I have watched you fall in love with the partner I had chosen for you. I know you had been hurt before but when you cried I wiped your tears. I knew the best was yet to come.

Thank you for praying and consulting me about your partner. It’s a good thing you prayed for them before you met them and are still praying for them. My vow to you is if you keep me at the center of your love connection, the foundation of your home then I will get you through to the end.

Always remember 1 Corinthians 13. Drill those words into your mind, your heart; let it be the center of your love. Love is not perfect and neither is marriage but if you put the other above yourself then you will work things out. Love is not a feeling; it’s a decision so choose to love your partner, to love them with all their faults. After all you’re not perfect but I love you anyway. Learn to forgive for that is one of the roots of a long marriage.

Always remember I am here for you. Talk to me when you have problems in your marriage instead of telling the whole neighborhood and the whole clan. Remember you are one so you should agree and not let outside forces divide you. Listen and be slow to anger but be quick to understand and you will go far.

Remember I love you and am so excited that you’re in love, honouring your vows before me. Honour those vows always through sickness and health, through riches and poverty, through the good times and bad times.

I, your God will always be your protector, your rock if you build the foundation of your marriage on me.

Wedding vows - I thee wed.

The Groom

You are like the dawn of the sun, beautiful and breathtaking. You bring out the best in me; you are the best of me. I promise to love you when the sun shines and when it rains, in the good and bad times.

I promise to protect, respect and honour you. You are a priceless ruby and I will always treasure you. Thank you for accepting to be my wife, to share my joys and sorrows. I pray that I will always make you smile and proud that am your man. I will cherish your heart, mind and body always.

Take my hand and walk with me by my side, into our sunset years, let me be your protector, your friend and your husband. With this ring I thee wed, with a promise that I will always be there for you, God being my guide and strength. May God be the foundation of our marriage, the third in our love triangle.

The Bride.

Your love has been sweet like honey to a bee. I will love you until the day that God decides to send one of us home. I have loved you with all my heart since the day my heart decided that you’re the one. I promise to love, respect, honour and take care of you.

My heart sings when am in your presence and your love is like the sun, warming my heart. I want to be your partner, your friend, mother to your kids and your wife. You are like gold, very precious. I put my life, my heart, and body into your hands. I ask that you treat them with care as I shall do with yours.

I pray that God will give us many loving years together and let us be together when our heads turn grey. May the Lord bless us and keep us as in love as we are now in the next 50 years. I promise to always value you and seek your advice.

I pledge my heart and life to you so help me God. May God be the foundation of our friendship and partnership. With this ring that I thee wed I vow to cherish, honour and give my best to you.

Rock of ages

You cant seem to remember the last time you were happy. Your life is shattered, fragments in time that mock you and the dreams you had. Your heart is bleeding yet your mouth is plastered in a plastic smile that doesnt reach your eyes. At night you cry in bed, because you dont know how you will get through the next day, week, month or year. Your bills are pilling up, your always borrowing never lending. Then you have that job you hate, that doesnt fuel your dreams nor adequately pay your bills.sumtimes you fear it will all come crashing down.

Give it all to Jesus, those doubts, those broken shattered dreams, that broken heart. Lay it at the cross. No Jesus is not a magician. He wont make your trouble go away. But he can change things around for you if it's in his will for you. He can part the seas for you like he did the Egyptians. He can provide sustainance for you. He is the mender of broken hearts, the creator of romance. All silver and gold are his.

So dont give up, trade up to the love that never fails and a hope that never dies. He stands his arms open wide, a symbol of the cross, ready to recieve you and love you. Jesus doesnt promise to take your problems away but he promises to be there through the storms. God will never give you more then you can endure and he will always provide a way. Put your trust in him because he is the rock that cant be shaken, the love that keeps giving eternally and the master planner that has a plan for your life.

You play

You think you’re smooth,

And want to make a play for my heart.

Boy, you think your good but can you play?

I'm not looking for a boy who wants to play snakes and ladders with my heart.

That’s a game of chance,

You may win or lose no one knows.

This ain't a game of cha mama and cha baba.

We try to play house and if it succeeds well and good

But if not its goodbye.

Boy, you got to have a strategy on how to get me and keep me!

It's a game of chess where objective is to capture my heart

And always keep me on checkmate.

The rules?

The rules are God's rule.

You got to know your word because those are the only rules that apply.

So my question is,

Can you play?

conversations with God

I had a dream where I was having a conversation with God. I was actually complaining, saying I don’t know why some people are so extraordinary yet I am so average. I told God you bless some people with everything. Money, talent, ambition etc.

God looked at me and “said take my hand, child”. He led me to a room with a huge treasure chest and told me open it. I thought I'd find gold or silver. Something to make me stand out from the crowd.

I was surprised at what I found. The treasure chest was deep so I couldn’t see everything. There was a sling with five stones, a net, a wooden staff, some scrolls, a makeup bag, a jaw bone, a Technicolor coat, a basket with five small fish and five small loaves of bread among other things.

I turned to God and asked, “why are you showing me these? I want something that will make me extraordinary. Not this boring things that cant help me.”

“Patience my child,” God told me. “The right thing in the right hands can turn someone from the ordinary person they were to an extraordinary person who can achieve a great purpose.”

He pointed at various items.

“David used the sling with five stones to kill Goliath the giant fierce warrior of the philistines.

Samson used the jawbone of a donkey to kill hundreds of philistines.

Moses used a wooden staff to strike water from a rock and to perform other miracles for the Israelites.

Esther used her beauty to save the people of Israel.

Joseph used his dreams to save the nation of Egypt from hunger and ultimately his family.

The disciples used their skills as fishermen to feed Jesus the messiah.

The small boy gave all of his lunch to the disciples and this was turned into food for a crowd of thousands.

Paul used his writing skills to write letters of encouragement to people and the churches and ultimately become the author of two thirds of the New Testament.”

God said to me, “what turns someone into an extra-ordinary person is using what they have to do the best they can for me.”

He told me,  “open your hands and look what’s in them.”

I opened my hands. In one hand I found pen and paper and in the other hand a basket of fruits.

I asked God, “what does this mean?”

God said,  “the pen and paper is your talent which you can use to turn from the ordinary to extraordinary. The fruits are a symbol of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. They will help you achieve your purpose.”

After that I woke up and pondered on what I had seen in my dream. I realised that I was the one holding myself from being extraordinary. So I prayed and told God to take my hand in his and make me extra-ordinary through my talents.

Clipped

Am grounded,

Cant fly no more,

Fallen from grace,

Wings clipped.

Cant run on divine spirit,

I used to soar,

Above the oceans and the mountains,

Mounted up like an eagle,

Flying until I could reach the heavens.

Took my eyes off the goal,

Forgot that I need the wind to fly

And tried to soar on my own.

I slipped, dipped and then tipped to the ground.

My angel wings got clipped,

Hurt I cant fly no more,

My pride is in tatters,

I have no where to turn.

Everywhere I look,

They laugh that I have fallen,

Never liked that I could soar,

Others they fly,

Not at all bothered that I am fallen.

I want to rise,

Pick my self up

But am ashamed,

Am damned

By my actions.

I want to fly again

But I don’t know how.

I need new wings,

New hope,

I cant do this on my own,

So this is my S.O.S.
